Racing, Chain gang and a cyclocross win!

Its been another busy week of training with a bit of everything thrown into the mix. from trying out a new chain gang with St Neots cycling club to taking a cycle cross win and another week of track league. there's been plenty going on.

The weekend kicked off on Saturday with my first ever chain gang with st Neots cycling club. It was great to ride with a different group, get some good intensity and the coffee and cake was great at the end. a really great session and one I'll definitely being again!

Sunday was then race day with a cyclocross, which was part of the Leicestershire cyclocross league. it was pretty much flat with a few twists and turns and a few big head winds. I managed to get myself out in front and gradually built the gap throughout the race, by the finish I had opened up a five minute lead over second place. it was a brilliant result and was pleased to come away with a win.

Tuesday was another busy day starting with a gym session with my PT, followed with another evening at track league, with another three races, the points race was definitely my best, one more week to go. a bit of weight lifting followed by racing round in circles, safe to say my legs got a good workout.

Overall, a really good week with a bit of everything, new riding groups, a race win and plenty of training across different disciplines. hopefully next week brings more of the same, although maybe a bit of hill terrain next time. just to remind me they still exist.
